Jay Wing brings more than
twenty years of experience in graphic production and
communications media. His expertise includes graphic
design, creative direction, animation, cartooning and
illustration. At Southwest Strategies, Wing oversees
the tracking and administrative process of all graphics
projects from concept to delivery. Wing also helps
with the concept and design of various projects.
Prior to joining Southwest Strategies, Wing was self-employed
as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. Wing
provided services to small and large companies by developing
marketing materials and corporate identity campaigns.
Internet marketing and business development enabled
Wing to provide his services to clients in Arizona,
Connecticut, Tennessee and Ohio. Some of Wing’s
clients included the San Diego Union-Tribune, the San
Diego Zoo, SAIC, Jostens Learning Corporation, National
University, Intuit, Sparks Exhibits and Environments,
Pixel Incorporated, and Spectrum Printing.
Jay obtained an Associate’s Degree in General Education from Grossmont
College, a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from California State Long
Beach, a 300-hour certification in Desktop Publishing
from Platt College and a 200-hour certification in
Multimedia from the Foundation for Educational Achievement.
Jay is a member of the Southern California Cartoonist
Society, and volunteers at the annual San Diego Blood
Bank’s “Cartoonist Day” drawing caricatures
of donors.
