LeAnn Gentry
Account Executive

LeAnn Gentry serves as an Account Executive at Southwest Strategies. Drawing upon her experience in the San Diego business community, Gentry works on a variety of SWS client accounts including Wal-Mart and Pardee Homes. Her duties comprise of writing assignments, client coordination and research.

Prior to joining Southwest Strategies, Gentry worked for a top High-Tech Public Relations Firm in the Pacific Northwest and in real estate marketing in Chicago, Il. Most recently, she worked as part of the marketing team at The Daily Transcript. In her role at the local business publication, Gentry spearheaded the coordination of the company’s sponsored News Shop at Junior Achievement’s local Enterprise Village, JA BizTown. She also coordinated many of the company’s signature events and wrote a weekly marketing column.

A San Diego native, Gentry graduated from Linfield College, a top-ranked liberal arts college in Oregon, with a major in Mass Communication and minors in Political Science, Gender Studies and Sociology. She is on the Board of Directors for the Public Relations Society of America, San Diego chapter and was named PRSA New Professional of the year in 2006. Gentry contributes to the programming committee of the San Diego American Marketing Association and volunteers on the PR committee for the Parkinsons Disease Association of San Diego.
